Drinking water storage tanks on rooftops or in basements of residential buildings must, in addition to mechanical strength, be non-toxic and not alter the taste or odor of water. FRP (fiberglass) tanks made with food-grade polyester resin (sanitary approved) and fiberglass using the filament winding method fully possess these characteristics. The computer-controlled filament winding process ensures uniform thickness and high resistance to hydrostatic pressure.

Compared to concrete tanks (which crack, leading to leakage and contamination) or metal tanks (which rust and impart a metallic taste to water), FRP tanks offer significant advantages: light weight, fast installation, service life of over 30 years, and no need for internal lining.
