ATM enclosure (bank ATMs)

Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) installed outdoors or in bank lobbies require enclosures that are resistant to physical impact, vandalism, weather conditions (rain, sun, dust), and also provide electrical insulation. Enclosures made from SMC sheets (compression molded sheet molding compound with polyester resin) or FRP produced by resin transfer molding (RTM) meet UL 291 security standards. The SMC production process involves mixing resin, chopped fiberglass, fillers, and additives, followed by compression molding at temperatures of 140 to 160°C.

The technical advantages of these enclosures include high impact strength (resistant to hammer blows), non-electrical conductivity (safety against electric shock), and resistance to chemicals such as battery acid and spray paints. Additionally, the outer surface with colored gelcoat eliminates the need for repainting.
