Cooling towers in petrochemical industries, power plants, large commercial buildings, and HVAC systems are used to dissipate heat from circulating water. The body, water collection basin, and internal packings of these towers are exposed to constant moisture, anti-algae and anti-scale chemicals, and severe temperature fluctuations. The main advantage of FRP cooling towers is a service life of over 20 years without the need for painting or major repairs. This material is resistant to chlorine, dilute sulfuric acid, and alkalis, and is significantly lighter than galvanized steel towers.
