Polymer concrete (industrial flooring, rapid repair of bridges and roads)

Polymer concrete is a composite of polyester or epoxy resin (typically 10-15% by weight) with quartz, silica, and gravel aggregates. Unlike traditional concrete, which cures with Portland cement and water, polymer concrete reaches its final strength within 2 to 4 hours, and the curing (hardening) process is chemical, requiring no water. This material is used for rapid repair of bridges, highways, industrial factory flooring, areas around gas stations (resistant to gasoline), and manholes.

The compressive strength of polymer concrete is typically between 70 and 100 MPa (while ordinary concrete has 25-35 MPa). Additionally, water absorption is nearly zero, making it completely resistant to freeze-thaw cycles and chloride penetration (which leads to rebar corrosion). Alborz Organic Materials Company supplies polymer concrete resins with low viscosity (for complete coating of aggregates) and adjustable curing time from 30 minutes to 2 hours for urgent repair projects.
