Tough polyester resin: In some composite parts made with polyester resin, toughness is one of their prominent characteristics.

Hard and complex parts that require high precision, and the polyester resin should not shrink or have dimensional changes.

Being tough along with high temperature resistance is significant in the manufacturing of special parts.

Unsaturated polyester resins have great acceptance in the composite industry due to good processability and chemical resistance. However, on the other hand, high flammability and low toughness of this resin after curing have limited its application in many cases. The goal of this work is to produce a resin based on unsaturated polyester using nanofillers, which, while maintaining the previous acceptable properties, is flame-retardant and also has high toughness.

The appropriate viscosity range of this resin enables its use in industrial automatic methods such as Resin Transfer Molding (RTM) and other composite manufacturing methods. The main application of this resin is for manufacturing automotive parts and household appliances. Due to its flame-retardant nature and high toughness, manufacturing automotive interior parts, interior panels of buses, and train wagons using this resin is very suitable.
