What is artificial stone?

Artificial stone is one of the achievements of modern humans, considered as a solution to the excessive extraction of stone from mines and environmental destruction. On the other hand, the reasonable price of artificial stone compared to natural stone and its high strength has led it to capture a significant share of the building materials market.

Artificial stone is known as one of the new construction materials, made from a combination of polymeric additives with calcium carbonate, Portland cement, and water. Differences in aggregates or polymeric materials form the basis for creating different types of artificial stone.

The weight of artificial stone varies depending on its model, ranging from 15 kg/m² to 70 kg/m². Artificial stone has a structure that allows its use both indoors and outdoors, on floors and facades. The use of natural stone in the composition of artificial stone makes its behavior in various conditions very similar to natural stone. Additionally, the thickness of artificial stone is variable, and it can be cut into slabs or cubic blocks.
